Visit with Dad and MC

Hey y'all!

Sorry I haven't written in a while, I've been slacking.

Anyway, Dad and Mary Catherine came to visit this weekend. I got to spend Saturday afternoon with Mary Catherine and show her around Fort Worth a little bit. Then Saturday night Shayne and I went with Dad and MC to Ojeda's in Dallas for dinner. We had a great time catching up.

So Much Going On

Hey y'all!
I'm up at the Radio Station and we're running automation so I thought I'd go ahead and update you all.

1. Terry Porter got fired and Alvin is now the new Head Coach of the Suns. Tonight is their first game since the replacement, it's halftime and they're up by 32 so it's looking good.

2. I've almost got my summer schedule finalized. I'll be taking 22 hours, 6 of which are radio, 6 are science, 3 are math, 3 are writing emphasis, and 3 are topics in TV. My last two will come from an independent study with John Tisdale who used to work with my Dad at Baylor. I'll meet with him on Monday to discuss the details but basically it's a 30 page paper.

3. I went to career services on Monday for my assessment results. Turns out that I'm best suited for a career in Broadcast Journalism or as a Buyer, those were tied for my best career option based on interest. Others that scored high were CEO, many different Management Positions, Marketing/Sales Mgr, and Performing Arts. Right now, I'm looking into several different options. I've been researching careers in Sports Marketing, careers with Disney, and inquiring about Teach For America. I don't know what I want to do... I have so much I want to do!

Quick Update

Did anyone watch the All Star game? Blow out! Go Western Conference!
Anyway... we're all waiting to see if Terry Porter is going to get fired and if Alvin will replace him and turn our Suns around and start winning. I have mixed feelings about it because if Kerr really does have an alternate agenda and wants to take over as coach at the end of the season that means Alvin would get fired. So basically we're just waiting it all out. Hope for best!

I have an appointment with Career Services today to see what kind of career I'd be interested in since I have so many interests but nothing strong enough to do forever. I took an assessment last week and get the results today.

Other than that I have a few bumps I'm trying to get past to smooth my schedule out for the summer as far as school goes. It's going to be REALLY hard to graduate in August but I'm trying my best to work my schedule so that I can be done.

Graduating in August!

It's official! I will be graduating in August instead of December! I got permission to take the extra hours... this means 22 hours of summer school instead of the 18 that's typically allowed but it will be worth the work load to be done with school and move on with my life!

Sorry to those of you that listened to the radio this morning to find out I wasn't there today, I haven't been feeling well. But I will be back Monday morning bright and early.
